I have 3 pumpkins (269, 216, 139#'s) and have found SVB's in the vines. This is my second year attempting growing AG's. I had a dismal year in 07'. I was hoping to keep them on the vine until Halloween, but wonder if I should cut them now and count my losses. I don't really have a place to store them except in the cages that I built around them. I'm getting paranoid that they will either rot on the vine or rot after. Help a newbie??

Yes, the neighbors are talking. They have even brought friends over to see them. Finally feel like a proud momma. I think I will leave them on the vine a bit longer. The biggie (Bernie) gained about 3 lbs/ day according to my last measurements.
