Hey guys, I had to harvest my pumpkin yesterday due plant meltdown. She is a beauty at around 800lbs est so I would like to keep her until Halloween. I really don't have a cold/dark place to move her. Is covering it okay and washing with 10% bleach solution. Any other things I can do? She made it up to day 57. Thanks for any suggestions!

I stored a pumpkin for 30 days in the shade of my garage in my driveway...I put a wet blanket on it....went from 702 official scale wieght before storage to 696 at wieghoff in 30 days or so. Just shade, september weather, and a damp blanket. Monitor the surface and the stem and blossom....

Thanks guys. I am going to ask my neighbor as he has an old garage surrounded by trees. My garage gets hot.
