yeah, thats typical around here and in the boroughs....calling a cucuzzi or long gourd a zucchini. Last year there was a polish guy who claimed a new world record zucchini when it was a cucuzzi.......or a long gourd.......

The reporter needing to be smacked upside the head, and it seems like there is an article or two like this every year. I haven't been able to see any difference between these and what we call long gourds, I wonder what the difference is, if any.

I thought Zucchini grew in a bush more or less? I didn't think there was a vine type variety? Is there different types of zucchini that grows like long gourds?

some guy grew an illinois record long zucchini here in joliet a few years back that was on the front page of the local newspaper. i do not know now if it was an actual zucchini or a long gourd.

i saw that on regis and kelly, they said someone grew a 5foot zuccini,I was like holy crap then they show a picture and it was a freggin long gourd! I laughed so hard
