An addendum to Pap's earlier message: My pumpkin split overnight at est. 1139 lbs. 12" to right of blossom end 2" long all the way to cavity looked to be near 4" thick at that location. I walked away like Pap said, Realizing there are more important things in life like health, family and friends. Thanks Pap for that...no tears here! Don

My season ended Sunday morning with my last AG going down. I thought this would be MY YEAR to get to 1000#, but it didn't happen. There is always next year! Pap is right, family support, the friends support, the look of little kids seeing a giant for the first time, it is all priceless. A special thanks goes out to Quinn and Craig for their support.

It's hard to watch a them go down. I had three of them last season. It's never easy, but, Pap gave some great advice, it's still hard to loose them after all the hard work. And yes, on the positive side there is next year to look forward too and patch prep can begin early.
