how does our chart compare with them?

I don't have any experience with that, but I doubt if it would work. The charts don't seem to work on marrows, that is for sure. If you mean halloween pumpkins like Howden and Connecticut, I have a whole batch I could try out.

For field pumpkins it's going to come down to individual varieties, and their wall thickness. There are more varieties in the field pumpkin space, and I can tell you that Howdens have a lot thicker, denser walls than say, "Jack-O'Lantern". Of course, neither of them are as thick as the AG, so I don't think our charts will work.

I grew an ~80lb howden a few years back and it taped damn near spot on.

Our biggest field pumpkin taped at 109 pounds by the OTT method... It split in half last night and when I weighed it it weighed 112.5# so the estimating chart is as Jose said "Spot on" for field pumpkins! Guess I should have backed off on the secrete tea juice with all this cold weather we have been having :(
