ok I am trying to get those couple extra pounds for the weigh off end of sept. Would a greenhouse help me get those extra pounds? Any tips from growers who have done this.

Also I am thinking about covering my pumpkins during frost warnings this fall. any tips?

check out my '06/'07 diary entrys for early Sept,,you will see "hillbilly hothouses" that get me through frost/freezes the last 2 years,,,added 200 lbs and 300 lbs est in those 2 years respectfully in Sept

be creative, use what you have easy access to, this isn't a beauty contest for protection ;-)

anything that holds in the heat on a cold night is all good.
remay (like cheese cloth ) works well. plastic is great so long as the plant can get fresh air and not to hot in th day time
main thing is to keep the fruit warm.
