when your pumpkin is oozing orange gumm out of several pin size holes, not bad but a concern. what is the cause of this ? thanks for all answeres, Bill

I've been told that it is usually a sign that she is putting on the weight. Nothing to worry about.

the cause is that the pumpkin is still growing but the skin isn't as flexible as it used to be when it was younger, so it develops lots of little cracks which ooz.
this happens to many if not most giant pumpkins.
