I couldn't believe my eyez Wed. night when I got home from work and took the sheet of The Icebreaker to see that my bet with the Iceman is over....4 inches of rain brought on a dill ring and my hopes of hitting 1000 are legally done....it has put on over 200 lbs in little over a week and formed a crack along the dill ring/seem...taping over 800+ lbs . I now know the pain all of you have felt at one time loosing something you have worked so hard on. My brother(WiZ) and I are going to try to turn this into something positive by showing new growerz a step by step way of how you try to get a crack pumpkin through to a weighoff for show. We're going to try at least. Stayed tuned to the diaries ....This hurts ! I won't lie about it ! And I also won't give up ! ....Sorry Eddy ! I was hoping to show you a big pumpkin on the scale. You're a good guy and a great friend to The WiZ and I.......thiz izn't over yet.....one side vine still going......

Biz, I'm sorry to hear that. If you need assistance from an "expert" on splitters I'm your man. I was sure hoping you weren't digging your grave with all the talk. :)

FYI my 672 is now taping 1K++ and split at 600#. I've put on a total of 1300# since my 3 pumpkins split. With yours splitting so late it should certainly have a super shot at making it to weigh-off.

Best of luck as I don't wish the heart break on anyone.

We are waiting for official word from the judging staff.....///we could still weigh it on weigh off day if it holdZ together....BiZ caught it pretty fast and soon diary pics will show the effortZ taken to keep it dry, sealed and dance material.....Eddy haZ a big one growing....but we think BiZ's will still grow to over 1K.....and Beat the IceMan.....Eddy?

What a shame, this beast was really fun to watch grow.......BiZ was suicidal for a while... but we got a Dr's release now and I changed my BP password..........I have seen BiZ concentrating.....and mumbling.......aH ONE AND A TWO.... Cha Cha Cha....

Man soooo sorry to hear that. It is just a heart breaker when that happens. My 1207 split well over 1 week ago and i did not caulk it up. It is still gaining 30 plus lbs a day. As soon as its done growing the plant will be pulled and my season will be over. Disease, splits, going lite, stopped growing and vandalism = retirement here.

Sorry to hear that Biz. Alot of us know where you're coming from. I lost my biggest last season and one of my top ones this year too. Its just a part of this game that eveyone who tries to grow a big one deals with sometimes. Good luck at making it to that magical 4 digit mark.

Its better to have grown a beast and lost it than to have never grown a beast at all!
