Hello, I am growing 2 828 Dills and unfortunately the stem on one has several splits started. I am wondering about a household/organic suggestion to use on the splits for drying them out/stopping more splitting as my three-year-old is my garden helper and I am not interested in using any of the commercial powders ... I would love to be able to go to my kitchen cupboard or grocery store for something if there is an idea, but maybe I am wishful thinking. Thanks so much for any suggestions.
