I was wondering if any one who has used a giant pumpkin lifting tarp in the past would possibly have advice on which one to buy. I've always been able to muscle my giants around by myself, but fortunatly I've had a good year this year and have a pumpkin that's too big for me to handle alone LOL. I'm thinking about buying a giant pumpkin tarp from P and P seed. Is this a good choice or would another one be better. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Junior

The P&P Seed tarp is an excellent choice. You can't go wrong. Get the 4'x4' - anything larger you'll need a strap.

Ordered mine last Monday. I am waiting for the arrival. Anyone know how long it usually takes?

You can make your own fairly cheap. see the links below for pictures. You can get a grommet kit at wal-mart in the camping/sporting goods area ... or buying a nice one works well too. P&P or http://www.howarddill.com/tarp.html or where ever

oops almost forgot the hardest part is to find bodies to grab end of a handle. I find the lure of a frosty cold beverage "after the lifting" to be quite effective..;) http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=75749

THANK YOU!!!!! Gordon and Bumpkin, for the links. I was sewing one from 20oz canvas and using strapping I have, and this will work a lot faster. I will finish that one but NOT this year.
You can also buy grommet setting kit with about 50 grommets at Harbor Freight for $3.99 plus ship (or if you're lucky enough to be able to walk in... heh)
And yes, keeping enough friends cultivated that you can lure with the invite of 'food and cold ones' AFTER can be the hard part!

Thank You for your help everyone. I think I'll make one similar to the links out of canvas and hopefully it will hold up. I can't wait to see how much my pumpkin weighs.
