Hi Wiz,Biz
Hows the Wiz doing is the question, I have been wondering about that alot lately? Dads doing OK, hes down to about 125lbs now but is still hanging in there, that kemo and radiation really took a number on him,we are still waiting for that nasty poison to wear off so he can at least start eating again and start to gain some of his weigh back, right now he says everything he eats tastes like the kemo they have running through him the past month. We will know Friday if the treatments have shrunk his tumor enough, if it has they can go in and remove it. If they , or when they I should say, remove the tumor they will then attach the good part of his esophagus to the good part of his stomach, what they will do is stretched his stomach up , and attach it to the good part of his esophagus. As for growing this year I really haven't had the gumption or time really to be out in the patch much , just to many things going on right now,my patch has never looked that bad Wiz!kinda depressing really,,,LOL. I still get out there when I can which is usually my days off from work, its a stress reliever just to be out there. I miss being out in the patch everyday though and miss the excitement of knowing I have a good one going, but this year there isnt going to be a personal best coming out of my patch, lol. I still have 4 pumpkins growing that wont amount to much, they have been growing on there own more or less. its a bummer I wasted all them great seeds this year not tending to them right like I would have liked to, but other things have come first this year and I don't mind that at all. Next season I vow to go for bore ahead(and find another 1068 Wallace before the Wiz and grow it like it should be grown, lol), I made my mind up next year I'm dedicating it to my father, I know this will help me give it my all next season to grow the biggest pumpkin my father and Ohio has ever seen.

Brooks, You ARE growing big this year buddy..And doing what iZ most important at this time.....Taking Care of your father when he needZ your help the most. I know in theZe rough times he needZ you and later when his strenght returns He will gain energy from the life that a pumpkin growing in a patch exudes.
People helping people iZ what meanZ the most in this life, A pick me up by sending a craZy card in the mail like my buddy Paul in NY doeZ creates a smile on ones face and can change a day. Or a phone call from someone in another country just to say Hi.....MeanZ so much....Everyone has a time in their life when they need someone to help them out.......and having a special someone like you Brooks iZ the best that anyone could ask for........Keep up the energy for your Dad and EVERY day put a smile on hiz face...Wishing only the best for you and your Dad......Grow'Zem BIG BRookZs

right now he says everything he eats tastes like the kemo
Brooks, I've been told by several people who have received chemo. Tell him to try eating a Vlasic dill pickle 15 minutes before eating. Food will taste much better again.
Tell your pops I'm still thinking of him and wishing for a speedy recovery.
