Jeff, are you the guy that helped me out with some seeds last year? Think it was you. Thanks again. Word to the wise - never grow on pavement. I got a real good start last year, and then plateaued quick. Ended up with a 87 lbs'er, which still was the biggest I'd ever grown. This year is looking much better, as I chose the more convientional soil approach.
How about the rest of you Northwesters? Hows everyone doing so far?

Weights are way down here this year (no sandbagging), it has been the strangest weather I have ever had with snow in mid June, nighttime lows in the 40's with highs in the upper 80,s & 90's...? No fruit over 500 lbs so that sums up our season!

Hi Scott, As I remember you were challenging some friends for the biggest pumpkin....how did your 87# hold up? My year has been pretty poor this year...lots of leaves and minimal fruit, late pollination and one of my two friut split last week. oh well, the leaves are pleasant to look at, and there is always next year!!
