Colorado has been an oven all summer now the temps are dropping like a rock. Snow in the high country and highs along the front range of 70 for the weekend. Man do we need rain....LB

Longbeard, you may have all of our rain! LOL! We've had too much. Temps are rollercoaster at best. Highs in the 90's in July and highs in the 70's for August? We're supposed to go back to 80's this weekend and stay warm for a week. Rain/hail/winds, you name it we've had it.

The deluge of May to July has ended, but we are getting some nice smaller rains. Temps have about 10 degrees cooler than normal for past few days and forecast for the next week is more of the same. With the slow cool start we had, we need some heat to get the pumpkins growing better.

2 June, 105F and 3% humidity, wind 37 gusting to 57. Our August weather. For two months. Been hot and hot and hot and dry... tomato season is stalled at least four weeks (delayed) because it was so hot. Pumpkins, a fight with the wind and keeping enough water/cooling going. A lot of growers here have lost their vines to the flash-dry days and a lot of start of July sets have aborted. A number are still fighting to get a vine big enough to set a fruit and we had to move our weighoff out a month... I'd trade 95-110F days for some rain (without hail!)

july had hardly any day over 80, now we're about 85-95 everyday, low is 55-60 at night - no rain until october, so i keep sprinklers on all night to make up for humidity - earliest harvest of grapes in wine country in a long time, due to very dry spring, which led to all the bad fires in these parts in june/july cheers
