The main vine on our 1420.5 Larue has grown very little since pollination and I am wondering if it causing any stem stress or is likely to in the future. I did a Stelts turn after the fruit but the vine is only about 5' long and has risen quite abit along with the pumpkin growth.
Should I keep the main vine growing for now or chop it off in fear of problems later?

Glenn, I'd use sticks to keep the vine positioned the way you want. I use the bamboo sticks that are about 1/4" in diameter and two feet long. Use two or three and it will stay wherever you want it. You could also mound up some soil after the pumpkin and try to get the main to root after the fruit.

Looks fine Glenn. Shouldn't be a problem.
