I have a main vine that is 7.75 inches in diameter. The vine looks like a water pipe. It's totally unreal. The sidevines are the thickest I've ever had on a pumpkin plant, they are even thicker than the mains on my other plants. Is there a correlation of main and secondary vine size and the amount of water that gets pushed through them? I can't wait for the replies on this question....

I think it could make it more prone to blow up after a good rain. In theory it would move more water but that is also depending on the size of the pumpkin stem.
