yes i heard a little birdie talking about a couple biggins in central ma. good for them a great bunch of guys if they are who i think the birdies said they were - lol

i also heard rumblings about a monster on the cape ?

id like them all to come to sngpg/frerichs farm weigh off and compete for some great hand made one of a kind trophies (places 1-10 + #1 squash ) plus some good cash awards as well
the awards alone are worth the trip.

I heard of one in Honesadale, that fella is a bigtime sandbagger.. Its those fellas that grow in 2 spots that you gotta watch out for.

Colorado has seen some of the hotest driest weather in nearly 100 years, and yet as the rumors have it, state record may fall several times over this year.

lol to one ton. i know what ya mean.
we have five open spots already seeded with annual rye grass all prepared for 2009.
fortunately we started with twelve plants. i got a feeling we will need all seven remaining to get a couple good ones

i hear ya tom. this hobby can really suck at times.

If I get a spot with sun all day and can dump 2 grand into the hobby I'll be the biggest sandbaggin SOB you ever saw. I hope to be surprised. But its a good topic pap. Seeing if someone caught a sandbagger red handed. I love the idea.lol

speaking of sandbaggers pap, I'm sure the Wallace clan isn't just sitting around whistling Dixie.

ITS NOT SANDBAGGING IF YOU DONT TELL ANYONE ------ ITS MORE LIKE "LAYING IN THE WEEDS READY TO POUNCE" ON THE COMPETITION --LOL

WE HAVE TWO THAT SHOULD BE RIGHT NEAR OR AT HIGH FIVE TERRITORY ON TUESDAY WHEN WE MEASURE.A COUPLE OTHERS ARE DOING ABOUT 75 UNDER THAT.

NOTHING TO GET ALL GIDDY UP ABOUT AS IT MEANS NOTHING UNTIL ITS DONE GROWING AND ON THE WAY TO THE WEIGH-OFFS.

TO MANY THINGS CAN STILL HAPPEN OVER THE NEXT SIX OR SO WEEKS

BY THE WAY. YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO HAS THE BIGGEST PUMPKINS OUT THERE AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME? ITS THE GROWERS YOU ARE HEARING NOTHING ABOUT?
YOU MIGHT HEAR ABOUT THEM IN A MONTH OR SO BUT UNTIL THEN THEY ARE LAYING IN THE WEEDS RIGHT BESIDE ME

I too am lying in the weeds...but fortunately we are picking that fruit for the Iowa weigh-off. (lol) 600 miles one way and it probably won't even place! It should be fun though! We will have to mow that plant down and start preparing for '09 when we return.

The other plants are looking much better...much fewer weeds. We will ahve to wait until the Oakland weigh-off to really tell, since our late plant looks the best.

pap control your breathing, consentrat on slow movment so the weeds above you and around you move natural in the wind and keep your eyes on the target

Pap you've seen my yard, haven't you? I gave up on mowing and just pick weeds...

Does in your dreams count? (I seen lots of bigNorange there)

I'll settle for breaking state record this year and make'm make me an orange blazer... next year... or the year after, or... sigh. Luck to everyone else on making it to the finish line.

I dunno, I thought about "sandbaggin". Even up here the sunshine warms a patch or two...but then again the ride on the way is sometimes as enjoyable as the destination. Yes we're all trying to grow the biggest, but who wants to enter the stands in the last round of a 15 round bout, or the last furlong of the Kentucky Derby (some I guess). Nah, I'd say let others enjoy the ride it's a great trip:)

Sad what old age does lol. when your old you spy on your neighbors pumpkin patch. When your young you spy on the ladies at the local pool. lol
