So I'm in the patch and I look up into a tree and what do I see? A WOODCHUCK! about 20ft off the ground. I know they can climb...over a fence. But what the hell is it doing in a tree?
I have already relocated 3 chucks this year, I think they're trying to parachute into my garden now...Chris

I don't think it was a porcupine...I've never seen one in the area...
I chased the beer with a shot...the chucks are driving me to drink...which I guess isn't really a bad thing.

Yep , one of the 10 I've got this season ran up a large tree after I gave chase on my 4 wheeler and after I saw it duck in a 8 inch cavity hole in the tree about 6 feet off the ground I took a road flare out of my tool kit, light it and stuffed it in the hole and stuffed a coil of rope in the hole to prevent an escape . You always need to be prepared .
