This Sunday, Aug. 17th, is the SOGPG Summer Patch Tour and Picnic. Welcome all who care to attend. The tour will include a stop at the patch of Dr. Bob Liggett, current record holder in the great state of Ohio.

2008 Pumpkin Growers Patch Tour


This year's joint patch tour of the Circleville Pumpkin Show Growers and the Southern Ohio Giant Pumpkin Growers will be held on Sunday, August 17th beginning at 11:30 a.m.



Stop 1: Carolyn Vanderpool, 526 Luckhart Road, Kingston, OH 45644

Stop 6: Joe & Lisa Gerchy, Roger Evans Farm, 16169 US Rt. 23, South

This will be a great time to share ideas and catch up with the latest techniques. Please bring a covered dish and lawn chairs. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and table service will be provided.


We are also asking all growers to bring seeds to donate for the seed sale that will be held at the Circleville Pumpkin Show (please make sure to include the crosses). A signup sheep will be available for growers to volunteer to work at the Circleville Pumpkin Show.
