If your growing this seed this year, what color is your 1385 at this point, or what color does it look like its gonna be?
I started a 1385 plant for my father and the pumpkin off that seed is a 670 Diagle orange, lol, No Kidding, its really orange! Its kinda surprising (but then again its not, lol) that the 1385 its that orange coming from what the mother and fathers color is.(Although the 1450 Wallace has thrown a couple nice orange pumpkins but not many.)
Its not going to be a record breaker and I think its on the down hill now because of all the bright orange color that's in it,,,,,, boy is that pumpkin ever ORANGE though! Next time I'm over there I will take a picture for you guys to see.
Anyone else have a really orange one off this 1385 seed?

Brooks,
Have that bad boy keep for the Pumpkin Show. Every year at the Pumpkin Show, the Nancy Martin Award is given to the grower with the prettiest pumpkin...and by pretty, I mean orange. That's how Nancy defined pretty. It's the next best thing to winning it all at the Pumpkin Show(if not equal to).

giantpumpkindude...Brooks doesn't live near Circleville, therefore can't enter the show. My understanding is you have to live within 20 miles or so. That's OK though, maybe he will let me carve it at the zoo this year (lol).

Gus,
Brooks' Dad lives in Lancaster and he is growing the pumpkin from what I understand. He will fit within the 21-mile limit.

Sorry, just saw this post, I was on vacation and created almost the same post...Day30-503lbs, Day35-661lbs..wide with a bulging left shoulder and deep yellow in color...thought I would be over eight by day forty but 2 inches of rain has left the patch muddy and things have came to a screaming halt on my wild ride...biggest i have ever had circumference wise....32lbs/day for 18days!
