Hello, woke up this morning to see one of my fruits have two splits near the stem. The second (bottom) one goes into the fleshy part of the pumpkin about 1/4-1/2 inches. Its not into the cavity as far as I can tell. Whats the best way to handle this? Captan has been applied. Thanks

Jeff, you and I woke up to the same thing but when I probed mine, it was all the way into the cavity and is toast.
For cracks and splits that are not all the way into the cavity, I use sulphur powder mixed with a little water (make a paste) and fill the cracks and splits with that and then put a fan on to make sure it stays dry.

I have had good luck with washing out the crack with a bleach solution to disinfect and then using a small fan to blow air to keep it dry. It seems to heal better without the crack filled with "stuff". Good luck!

I just posted to my diary a pic of the same thing on my 1207 fruit. I just blew some sulfer powder into them. Craig what are your recomendations on the vigor cal?
