One of my plants stopped growing, it looks very healthy, the vines just don't grow. The problem is I don't have any pumpkins set on it yet, and no more flowers are appearing any ideas?

How long has it been since no growth?

Start hitting it with some nitrogen and a blossom booster type fertilizer, maybe this will kick it back a gear into growing more vine and flowers for a late pumpkin.

Pumpkin Pastor, how long is the main vine right now? Once they get to the 20 foot mark they slow down, even with no fruit set on them. Is it getting plenty of water? With 20 days in a row of 90 degrees or above, it takes a toll the plants. Have you fertlized latley? Have you sprayed it with the Sevin and Ortho Max?

Alright, the main vine is about 11 feet and the sides are about 10 feet, the plant has not grown in about 10 days, I gave it about 3 gallons of fish emulshion (sp?) about 3 days ago, and it greened up and perked up, but no growth. It has a little female about peas sized, but it hasn't grown and the flower hasn't gotten any closer to opening up. It is a 1041 Sherwood and it is my daughter's plant. You can see it in her diary, her name is McKenna.

I think it's done as well, but why not try Brooks's idea & hit it with some nitrogen. You've got nothing to lose by trying it. It might be time to assign one of your other plants to McKenna though. Good luck.

How much water are you giving it? With this heat we are having it my be thirsty. You should be giving the plant about 2.5 inches or more water per week these days.
