We are going to set a new state record for consecutive days in the 90's (currently @ 16 days straight, record is 18) for Colorado along with a new record for driest year ever. Good for us as our pumpkins are loving it......suppposed to be 90+ for many more days.....WOW
I look for the best ever weights to be coming out of Colorado this year.......... Will the State record will be broken this year by several??? I'm thinking so.....

We usually have hot weather in Iowa this time of year. The pumpkins really grow like crazy when it is really hot. So far we have been cooler than normal. Good luck and I hope you see much quicker growth than you normally do! What are your night time lows? I think much of it has to do with the nights being warm and humid. Stay in the 70's or better at night and watch out!!!

Lows have been mid sixties and looks like they will stay that way at least through the week.
Wiz, I just don't get why a little rain wouldn't be helpful. I'd take some over my patch without complaint. Like you I would love to see the state record fall. Any chance of a celebration at the Wizards castle this fall?

A good grower once said, "it is a lot easier to add it (water) then take it away." We are going to need the misters the second half of this week. 97+ degrees almost every day after Tuesday. my plant has been loving this warm weather but if doesn't like it when it gets over 95.

It just seems like if growers are hitting their plants with seventy five gallons or more at watering time that a seasonal average of the pure stuff that falls from the sky would be something you would have to worry about taking back. Just thinking out loud. Lets go Colorado, I'm getting excited about weigh off time already.

We have been dumping on the water at the patches....going to be over 100 for a couple of days too, looks like the record is going down big time.....perhaps several more weeks of these high temps.....We have been keeping the soil consistenly moist but this is the first time I have automated the patch so I dont want to over do it.....I hope BiZ doesnt "Foam hiZ Stump" wouldnt want it to stop growing now........Shaker we will be celebrating come weigh off day...Im thinking folks will be bring their biggest kins ever to our weigh off......this is going to be exciting.............Rocky Mountain GrowZ'em BIG
