has any one ever seen this befor? I went out and looking at the pumpkins coming and I could not belive it. I have heard of twins but not siamese twins.

I had a yellow straight neck squash do that. Grew fine. They opened 1 day apart too but the fruit was joined together. Hope yours make it.

the risk is that there's a good chance the thing could split or tear apart, probably a greater risk than a normal pumpkin.
i'd be VERY tempted to keep it myself if it sets, though.

last year I had a siamese twin pumpkin, with a THIRD pumpkin at the same spot! here's a pic:

Last year I had such pumpkin(s) and it grew very well, but they did't grew evenly. One of the twins was 4-5 times larger than the other, but the whole shape was quite good. This pumpkin(s) was the heaviest last year - 290 kg.
Also you can make 2 crosses instead only 1 :-). And if they catch the resulting pumpkin(s) could be curiosity at the weigh-off (mine was at the local hypermarket).
