im now officially worried. i have a great looking plant growing. main is out to about 17ft. secondaries buried. first female opened up in early am around the 17th. hand pollinated it. noticed the lobes were not very uniformed. grew to the size of a large lemon, then stopped so i called it a lemon and killed it. i patiently began waiting for the next in line to open. it looked nice, plumped up to the size of a ping pong ball. took one last look at her on the late afternoon before the morning she should have opened and to my surprise was all of a sudden half way open??. it looked like the flower pedals of the female were different lengths. i did not pollinate it then. waited till morning. did the deed but once again was faced with lobes that didnt seem to look right. not that they were hidious, just a little odd. any suggestions or ideas out there. sorry for the long post

I have had the same thing and I tried to force the flower open and pollinate! The plants have kicked the fruit 4 times! Two different plants!

I had a surprise opening of my chosen one at 2:00pm because of cool weather. I pollinated it and it is well over 300lbs so I think the pollination took LOL. If it is cool you might have to cover it to help the set. I don't want to worry you but I have had plants that wouldn't set fruit unless selfed and others that never set fruit. I feel your pain!

I had a plant last year I pollinated 16 kins on it.
Only 1 grew. It went 330 lbs and had no seeds.
Pollinate everything and hope you get something.
Twice Ive gotten females that seem to be half open and the other half closed. Both aborted
