It seems every year I lose at least half my plants. Usually just after pollination and day 30. I could have nice healthy plants one week and total plant meltdown the next. What is your average?

I have just two plants out of the two packets of Ferry Morse Atlantic Giant seeds I planted this year- one was a transplanted group, the other packet was direct sowed.
Both plants are from the direct sowed group. I had three actually but pulled one.
My Big Max seeds (also Ferry Morse packaged for Wal-Mart) are growing like gang busters and I must have around 15 plants total in three hills after thinning them out

Never lost a plant in 10 years. (not counting the 4 I froze the day after putting them out this spring). Lost a pumpkin on the plant but never the plant itself.

Haven't lost any plants either due to unfortunate events out of my control. Have had trouble setting a fruit on my 1066 Vezzolo, so I will likely be pulling it.

I have two and always lose one. I have to do something about that side of the patch.

I have lost about four of six the past few years. They usually drown here or get ripped apart by storms.
