nick (my husband) has 2 hives and has kept bees for approx the last 6 years. sometimes they die over the winter so we've been moving them onto our porch to shield them from the cold wind. he most recent problem this summer was a queen who was only laying drone eggs so he had to kill her off and get a new one. he's no expert but he has fun with it.
