me and my best friend that got me into the pumpkin world did a 10 day measurement saturday and it was 45" cc. I just did another measurment this morning at day 12 and it is 57" cc. When me and danny measured it saturday he said he wouldnt believe if he hadnts seen for his own eyes. a 12' growth in 2 days has me baffled. this is only my 2nd year growing and the plant is another one of my other best friends seeds. it is a 697 jones crossed with a 663 reeb. Will this thing blow on me? or is this normal growth this early on. It has me very excited and also nervous at the same time. with this thing growing like that what can i expect at the end in poundage

it's fast (especially that 10 day), but the actual rate is expected when the temps are right.

Wow, you sure have alot of best friends. 6 inches circ a night is good...what one might expect at that age with 1 fruit on a good plant with good weather. Lets see....my crystal ball is in the shop so I'll use the magic 8-ball....hmmmm.....yes, it will blow at day 37 at exactly 817.5lbs. Sorry.

My 10 day measurement was 45" as well.....I just had the tape wrapped around twice.

Are you positive it was day 10? In most of these cases where growers post huge day 10 number only to show normal growth after that I believe they have made a mistake with dates. 45" is crazy big for day 10. 6" a day is very good growth but in the range of normal.
