I have a across my main vine,at the leaf node. I wrapped
it with guaze, I have a set pumpkin abaut 2' past the split.the main vine has grown app. 7' in 9 days. my question is, will the vine mend or should i cut the main and use sidevine as new main ? thanks, Bill

Keep it dry "splinted" in some way to keep it from moving. It will not be pretty but it should heal up.
