I am hoping to polinate my first female in about a week. I know I am behind, but is it too late to get a giant? It is about 14 feet out and under a nice shade tree, so it is the perfect spot to set..

As A beginer myself I ignored this post earlier until someone else had something to say but there are a lot of growers that would be happy to be in your position, especially if your secondaries are looking strong. by the way I have a shade tree in the middle of my patch too.

Wasn't there a guy that one year didn't pollinate his pumpkin till July 18 and still set a world record?
