Who was the overall winner of this award?....there were quite a few beauties from all over in 2007.

In 2007, the GPC switched away from an overall winner. After seeing all the pictures from some incredible pumpkins in 2006, it came down to a very tough choice between the last few finalists.

So instead, GPC sites at the premium and intermediate levels are sent ribbons for the Howard Dill award. This award is up to each individual site on how they want to pick the winner (crowd favorite, vote amongst growers, panel chooses, ect.) and should be based on the qualifications of "prettiest, symmetric, orange or orange-red pumpkin"
