I have stored some males in the refrigerator in a low humidity conntainer and so that their stems are in a jar of water. I just need to know how you get them to open for when you want to pollinate. Any ideas?

put them in a warm sunny window ( were they will get early am sun and warmth) I pull my males from fridge the night before and place them in front window.... best pratice is to locate males on same plant ( if selfing) or other plant that will open same day as female cover with ziplock that am you plan to pollinate pull the ziplock off the male and female and do the duties and tie off.
I find this works best over storeing males in fridge dave

You don't need them to open. After they've been refrigerated for more than one day, just peel back the blossoms and the pollen will be nice and plump, ready to use.
