Took a good look at my pumpkins today and look what happened. Ok, I guess I did it, I was repositioning and what everyone says not to do, 'just another little move', well, now what. Am I in trouble. Of course, its the best one in the patch. But there are others. Anyone have a comment or advise..Thanks Croley Bend

Considering the position and the fact that it looks like it still needs further rotation I would look to set another one on this plant. Just in case things don't work out. You'll have a much larger plant anyway on the next set and plenty of season left in Kentucky.

I do have another set about 4 feet away. Im gonna try and move the vine somewhat today and prop up the pumpkin somewhat. If all else fails, I have others. Thanks for your reply.

I would remove the rest of the stuff off that node as close as possible to make room for the stem.

Just wondering if the tap roots on the main are loose
out from the pumpkin? Stem is headed down which makes me wonder if they are causing a little of the stress as well.

My oh my whats a pumpkin grower to do. Well, I did make some adjustments today and will see what happens in a day or two. The other one further out on the vine is great and making progress and in fact is at the same size as the damaged one as far a days since pollination. I may cut it, but boy that will really hurt. The damaged one is at least 70#. I will have to sleep on this one..more experienced growers would cut, a newbie like me...well, what can I say. I will post a pic tomorrow. Thanks for your advise. Here is a picture as of yesterday, I hate the thought of cutting. Any more opinions? Thanks.

Yep, that is what I am going to do. I will take it easy with the cut. I really appreciate all the advise. This should be fun, I shouldnt make it a chore everyday worrying, heck its just a pumpkin. The other one is growing at a good rate so I will be sure to make my cut over three days and then try to figure out how and the heck I will get it out of the patch. Again, thanks for holding my hand and making me see the light. Croley Bend
