Subject:  Holding back a fruit...

If you have a fruit that's galloping along at or above benchmarks...what is the 'neighborhoods' thoughts on leaving another pumpkin on the main to Hold your keeper back a little? I think 5-6 inches/day is good, any more you're asking for 'Seabiscut' to go down...true?
