I just pollunated the one I want to keep yesterday. But I have one 2' away that I want to get rid of so all the Juice goes to my keeper. But befor that I need to know my keeper is pollunated. So how can you tell? My keeper's blossum closed about 3hrs after I pollunated it with 5 male's completly covering the 5 lobes with pollen. That night the lobes started to split apart and swell and this morning it was 3 times as big as yesterday (golf ball size to goose egg size). So is this pollenated for sure?

Wait 10 days. If it is more than 20", you are probably fine. Not the quick solution you are looking for though.

2-4 days you should see it swell... usually they show signs of aborting before ten days but. Give it a few more days to see what it's doing. If you only have a few on the plant and they're all under 10 days it won't make much difference if you wait a few to see if the keeper is truely set. If the fruit starts to dull and change color, or groove, pit up, or pucker, then it is aborting... http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=87044 on left shows an abort in progress, page to the page after for a closeup of that one. Good luck.

If it hits 1000 lbs it's probably pollinated, i'd keep 'em both just to make sure...(that i beat you;)
