Any theories on why some side vines never grow full lenght and are stunted? Yet on the same plant other side vines grow normal?

I have this. Was thinking it was potential spray damage. HArd to say for sure. Maybe some plants are more susceptible than others.

I have this on the Houghton plant and a few on the Daletas. I know it is my soil. These vines are growing over wetter soil that is cooler and the soil is not as good there as in my prime spots in the patch.

I've had this happen as well. I don't use chemical sprays, so I don't think that's the reason in my case.

Interesting, both my plants had noticeably slower growth on the eastside of the patch? The only thing I can think is I have woods on that side and the Plants do not get sunlight on the eastside till about 10:30am.I believe this is the reason for the slower development than the westside? Less sunlight=cooler ground temps.
