I have a 3 ft. vine on my healthiest plant ever, just a beautiful thick thick vine, the plant will not get big, but I'm tired of not getting anything big, do I have a shot with this 3 ft. vine, how long approximately will it be until I can get a 11 ft. pollination or so? Anyhow, please wish me luck as I try to grow my biggest fruit ever, shouldn't be tough to beat consider I've been quite the failure in the past, have a great day everyone! And thanks for your help!

if your plant is three feet it should put on 6 inches a day in the summer heat, and when it hits six feet you should expect a good ten to twelve inches any given day so about eleven or so days your plant will be at your eleven foot mark, and five more days intell you can get a good palination, so give her take sixteen days.

Steveman - take a look at my pumpkin blog (www.denverpumpkins.com). Many growers had some struggles here in Denver because of weather until June 16th and then the plants started taking off. If you aren't seeing good growth (6 inches or more a day) and you are growing an Atlantic Giant you should take a look at what your soil needs and how much water you are giving the plant. You can find some good tips on my blog that are specific to Colorado, www.coloradopumpkins.com, and also great tips on this forum.
