a birdbath...
have one which looks like it might become one.. raised the vine & stem will this help?

If its gonna be a bird bath, its gonna be a bird bath. I don't think there is much you can do to stop it.

Ed, bicycle pump with basketball needle attachment. Insert through blossom end and inflate slowly. :>)

I heard injecting with milk works too. I saw it on TV.

you are on the right track elevate the stem area ,drop the blossom area by grading the soil down and away from the fruit, she will straighten out. i have been successfull with this in the past.
all your doing is positioning the pumpkin so she will grow more on the blossom end and less on the stem end.forcing her to change course so to speak by gravity and positioning.
