I have always considered seeds present in the blossom as a poor fruit to pollinate. I'm just curious if anyone has had any good success with pollinating these and getting them to hold to the end.

I also would like to hear opinions on this. I pollinated one today that I wanted to be my keeper but it had one deformed lobe with a seed or two showing (I have seen them much worse). Its still early enough ill pollinate the next one out also in hopes of a "perfect" one but depending on what I hear on this thread will determin if the first one will even be considered or not.

Thanks

I've only kept 2 as a last resort. 1 Blossom split from irregularly shaped lobe at the blossom end. 1 made it but was deformed with one flat lobe, my 602 from a few years ago. Seem to be getting more than my share this year.

i dont know for sure but to me a deformed segment and/or seeds in segment is an indication something is not right.
id cull it early and wait for another

Every female on my 1041 Mckie has been nasty. Seeds and scrambled segments. I will have to give one a shot at this point
