If I leave one of my plants (good genetics) with 5 or 6 pumpkins on them for the kids could I expect several 60 or 80 pound pumpkins?
If I do this is it better to pollinate the pumpkins spread out on the plant or have as many on the main vine as possible?

If you have healthy, good-sized plants you could 5 or 6 well over your goal...maybe 200+ lber's.

I forgot the second question. I'd say spread them out on seperate vines....one per vine max. Example: one on the main, one on the first secondary on the left side of main, one on the second secondary right side of main, one on the fourth secondary left side, one one fifth secondary right side. Or something similar. I haven't done this, it's just my opinion.
