is it possible to store pollen for a few days by picking the male when it opens and freezing it?

Yes. If only a few days I don't think freezing id necessary. Just keep it dry I believe.

I've been putting them in the refrigerator for upto 4-days with great results. Just wrap the stem with damp papertowel and put into the produce drawer in the refrigerator.Take out of frig the night before and just let the pollen dry in the house.
