What does the label say?
The newest growth will burn. Spray in the evening to minimize the impact.

you can go less than the label rate on it and still wipe them out. sevin is some nasty stuff and my weapon of choice in the early season to see lots of dead cuke beetles.

Jess, spray later in the evening, one tspn per gallon of water, and spray it on top and bottom of leaves. This does great job on cuke beetles and squash (stink) bugs, but does not touch squash vine borers. Spray enough to cover top and bottom of the leaves. NEVER spray the lead cluesters with anything, pesticides, fungicides, etc as this is where the plant is most vulnerable to burn. I stay away from clusters as much as possible with all sprays, even the fish/seaweed/molasses ones.

Jess, your question has already been answered several times. Use the Sevin at one teaspoon after sundown. Do it tonight & repeat every seven days until SVB season is over.
