Is there anything I can do this time of year to lower soil PH? Levels are over 7.5 from an over-exuberant spring application of lime (my fault)...any help would be appreciated.

Whatever you do, you can only do it VERRY slowly unless you want to kill or damage your root system. I wish you the best of luck. My problem here is the opposite.
I have grown easily over 500 pounders in 8.5 pH soil but you probably want much bigger...

I dont think 7.5 is way out of line, I dont know if you want to try to mess with it this late in the game. wait till the fall

A 7.5 pH will "tie up" some nutrients, but you should be able to still grow a good sized pumpkin. I'm curious, how did you determine that your pH is 7.5?

The soil test shows "7.7", that's from a 6.8 last year. I did add a ton of lime, but didn't think ph would move that much. I still would like to bring it down a bit, i think it's too high to do my seeds justice:( Has anyone every tried a mild drench with low amounts of Garden sulfer?

Lookajook I may not need a greenhouse but you definitely don't need to worry about your PH. Your just fishing for an early excuse of why I'm going to beat you. lol

Thanks all, guess i'm not gonna worry about it...but if i don't hit 801 lbs, i'm never growing again...(not 'till next year anyway;)

PS, thanks Mike...wind breaks working fantastic. They're a knitted polly that doesnt hold the water like the burlap...a welcome addition to the patch:)

Was under the impression you couldn't overdo it with dolomitic lime...i was wrong:( That being said, over the years i've also given my pumpkins "the pill", goats milk, dog food & Insulin...2000 lbs of lime is not that out there;)
