Those of you how have white grubs in you patch, question is this.... Are the white grass grubs bad or good for the soil? In like 100 years of growing with grass clippings, I have never seen a white grass grub ever munch on an alive pumpkin root, Am I paraniod about killing them with nuclear waste, or do they really eat the alive roots? Lond time Colorado grower awaits info on this big "Mind Snare" myth....

they have unprotected sex with the squash vine borers and the results are not pretty
also, instead of a cigarette after sex they enjoy a buffett of plant roots.

i dont know if you can apply grub-x when you have an active plant growing? but would suggest a couple applications at the proper time.

Bad for the plants - the soil doesn't care one way or another. KILLING grubs that are 3rd instar (big) is the problem. The only thing that works well (trichlorfon) is illegal to use on pumkins.
