About how big should my plant be by now considering that I live in PA? My vine is aprox. 2ft. ,I am starting to get some secondaries going, and some of my leaves are about a foot wide too. Am I doing alright?

You should be at least 10' out on the main by July but that is if all planets align. As long as you can polenate beginning of July, you should be fine. Critter keep munching on my main bud and setting me back. I thought I was fine until my second plant was made a snack. Time for the trap to come out.

Sam, I'm guessing you're on pace to get a female open at 10' on the main somewhere around July 15 with decent weather. Just an estimate....I had a plant the had a mainvine of 3'9" on July 1. I pollinated my keeper pumpkin on it on July 20. You have time to grow a very nice pumpkin.

Sam
basically you are stuck with what you got, is a 2' main vine "Ideal" right now, no. Are you likely to grow a world record, no. Can you grow one heck of a pumpkin? Hell yes. over 1000 lbs is still doable.
you are doing great.
