hey, i live in southern Ontario and was wondering what the best date was or earliest i should say to have a pumpkin pollinated and started was,

4th of July to pollinate your "keeper" is a good target, a little before or after that is just fine

We usually try to start the last week of June, but anything between the 25th of June and July 5th or so is in the "majic window". Our last pollination last year was on July 13th and the pumpkin went 865 lbs.

thanks john, that helps to give me a right idea, i have 2 of your 966.9 vincentMcgills in and the one is my best plant they are filling out really strong so far and i also have your 940 and 995.5 giant squash in to, all the plants doing wells o far, i hope to have time in the next 2 days to get all individual pumpkin updates in my diary, the 940 has a realy thick main vine, it looks like it grew double almost, looks good so far, thanks again for the seeds and the help, goodluck
