For the last two years I have been trying to get these things to come to my feeders. Second morning in a row I go out to look at the patch and one oriole flys right under my plant and probably stayed there for 10 seconds and flew off. I would assume he might be eating insects or even a squash bug. That would be awesome if they eat squash bugs. Anyway, they are really pretty birds.

There are small birds that fly in and around my plants all the time. They don't disturb anything, I think you're right, just looking for food. No orioles here though.

Get a couple of Boston Red Sox to camp out next to your plants for a couple of days. You won't have any more problems with the Orioles.

Just don't get any NE Patriots to help, they will fail you when it is important.

I agree with tht birds, they are welcome around my patch, they are just feeding on bugs.

We finally have a resident pair here this year. They are more than welcome to eat all the bugs they want in my patch and garden. They are very pretty birds.

We have Baltimore Oriels in our patch in Woodbridge. They are stunning & have never caused us any harm.

Enjoy them!
