I was wondering if pond water would be better than tap water. I thought that it might because of its microbes and nutrients in it from fish waste etc. What do you guys think?

I read here befor that pond water usually contains a lot of bad microbes (especialy stagnat ponds). If I had one though I would find a way to use it though.

I pump from my backyard pond. The water is clean, warm, and aerated. I have no "bad" bacterial issues in the pond. This can be a problem if you pump from a stagnant earth bottom pond. My fish and plants in the pond look great. The pumpkin plants love the water too.

I use town and pond, and. If your pond is an 'active' one, with fish, plants, and filter, the water is choice for vigor! My 'second garden' gets the filter flush stuff (location)and is very LUSH. I also take my bottom mung and use it for soil dressing; as long as it's not bubbly with methane (anerobic bacteria factory) it ranks right after worm compost. Yes it's a linered pond, not an earthen/bentonite pond.
