Is there anybody famillar with this type of netting? I need a cheap altrenative to cover two plants with until I can afford more real stuff next year. This seems to be a viable choice, but I am not sure of its overall strength. Looking to stop up to marble size hail? Can you break this stuff by hand by pulling on it? Hopefully its stronger then that. More like the bird netting but hopefully more rigid.
Here is an example: http://www.jrproductsinc.com/netting.html

1/6" mesh 8' X 250 $68 per roll.
8' X 5---approximately the length of one plant,
(side-by-side pieces of it)
and 30 feet wide. so, 5-8' pieces side by side at 30 feet long each (approximately the width of an AG plant)
would use-up 150 feet of your roll, so you might have to get two rolls but for what it could do for you.....
i'd stick with smaller mesh sizes as ANY hail that gets through could do damage...
no i do not have experience with this stuff, but if there is a shred of intelligence in there, use it, lol--eric
