when people say they got a double vine, do they mean 2 main vines coming out of the stump or what?

are these 2 vines attached somewhat or not?

thanks.

Jeremy, have a look at pmknchick diary at;

Specifically you will see the double vine develop until she is lucky enough that it split into 2 vines by itself...sometimes they do not split and need to be cut.

While I'm no expert on double vines - it's been quite a learning experience this year as none of these issues have happened to me so far - but from what I understand the double vine means you will have your leaves (and secondary vines, I think) come off the main at the same place, rather than being offset. I tried to get some decent pics of two leaves growing from the same spot on my diary. Not sure the growing problems beind the double - I've just been told it's not ideal.
