I'm on the verge of pulling my 1093 hunt and need advice if I should keep it. The main is a ribbon along with the secondary's. The main has a crack lengthwise 3 inches long near the stump. The main is about 7 feet long. Should I pull this plant and go with my other 1385 Jutras, or should I just grow it out and use it as a pollinator for the Jutras plant?

Tough call Dave, would love to see a picture of it. Post a couple in your diary when you have a chance.
Your patch is so large, you might as well let it grow out and see if you can get a regular vine to set something on. Would be a shame to pull it now.

Whatever you do DON'T use it as a pollinator. Just chuck it. If you pollinate the other plant with it, it will inherit the same defective genes as your 1093 hunt. If you do that, then your just gonna be sh*t outta luck next season. From what I hear the 1385 Jutras is a pretty good plant, so you probably won't be missing out on much by selfing it.

I would chuck it if it's that much of a problem. After 7' it's not likely to get any better. That's only the 1st ribbon vine I've heard of on the 1093. The 1385 has a great genetic background, so if it's healthy, keep it. Sorry the seed you got wasn't good. I'll send you another one if you ever want to try it again. Good luck this season.

My 1093 is the best plant I have ever grown. It already has a main vine that is around 12' long and the thickness of the vines are twice the size of all vines on my other plants. $ females in this length.
My 848 was a mutant, and all I did was grow a different vine that popped out of the stump area around 10 days after the main showed up. It is growing normally, but the main refused to. Cut off half the stump, but great now.

Thanks Phil for the offer. I ended up pulling the 1093 plant and will go with my only plant left the 1385 Jutras.
